Church Cleaning
If anyone can spare any time after Mass on a Thursday Morning, we could do with more hands to help with the church cleaning. Remember 'many hands make light work' so the more the merrier (and quicker)!
Social Events
Please can we remind the congregation, that as well as providing a fun night for ourselves, these events are mission opportunities and with our support, we can encourage people to join us in our worship. When the social events 'dry up' so does Sunday attendance!
Attendance at Mass
Attendance figures have been down of late for both Sunday and weeday Masses. For a christian, every Sunday is a day of obligation when you should be presenting yourselves at the altar.
We have also have responsibilities to one another, to support the community and family we worship with. The great festivals of the churches year, (Christmas, Passiontide, Easter, Ascension and Pentecost) are also obligations as Christians and every effort should be made to be at the Altar on these occasions. We are ONE UNITED FAMILY and absences and empty pews affects and discourages others. We should all be looking around to see who is missing, perhaps giving them a call to say they were missed! It can make all the difference and is part of our mission to bring as many to Christ as possible.
In these uncertain times for the Catholic movement in the Church of England, it is vital we are united and present with the rest of the family
